After our lunch at the River Inn, we continued to explore Big Sur.
Adam had already booked a special hotel that night for my birthday so we knew we only had time for one or two hikes, but, Big Sur is close enough for us to make a weekend of any time.
We decided to go on a mini hike to the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park Beach day use area.
Sunny, beautiful, California coastline. (Again). 🙂
Adam walked around the beach to explore.
Waves crashing through a arch in the rocks.
I decided to warm myself in the sand. You can see me sitting in the distance on the left.
The sand where I was sitting was pink, which you can kind of see in the sand drifts.
It was so cool! 🙂
And then beautiful coastal driving.
We stopped for snacks at Ragged Point which is an area where the coast juts out.
View looking over the cliff side.
The sun, reflecting on the water.
Adam loved the bridges and asked me to take pictures of this one.
… all the way through it….
.. and out the other side……
That was the last of the spectacular coastline and our long road trip drives. It was my birthday tomorrow, so we headed to the hotel for a magical night.
